Strategic Storytelling
Storytelling is a collaborative effort between the teller and listener.
A story is the only way to activate parts in the brain so that a listener turns the story into their own idea and experience.
Stories build trust because you are sharing a bit of yourself.
Stories unlock passion because they connect the head to the heart; they are a bridge between ideas and feelings.
Through Metaphor Exercises, understanding the elements of a story and fine tuning public speaking skills, I will help you use business storytelling for strategic and effective communication in all aspects of your professional interactions.
PS: Strategic storytelling is a great way to hone personal storytelling skills for fun as well!
Testimonials
We have offered several Business Storytelling workshops to our associates at Timberland. Whether it’s a general session, or a customized workshop for a specific group, Genevieve’s facilitation is top notch and best in class. She is a subject matter expert that teaches participants how to infuse emotion and drama into any otherwise monotonous business presentation. Her style allows learners to tap into their creativity, draw from personal experiences, and create authentic connections with their audiences. - Jennifer Street, Manager, Learning & Development, VF Timberland, Stratham NH
This workshop helped our team to be open and adaptable to changing and unique situations, and to become more comfortable working as an ensemble even when you don’t know exactly where a situation is going. We should do more of this! - Michael Broder, Manager, Computer Resources LLC, Barrington NH
Powerful stuff! Genevieve was a gracious and skilled leader of the discussion… Wonderful points, great foundational information. - Workshop Participant, Primex, Concord NH
All we had hoped for and more - loosening up, having some fun, building stronger connections with each other and as a team, sharpening our creative confidence, thinking about innovation, creativity and leadership!...We've been smiling and looking each other in the eyes more and more, being open to the gift! A take away for all of us, no matter where we stand, is a new appreciation for the value and healthy tension of spontaneity and planning I hope we'll find ways to work together again - Patricia Donavan, Associate Head of School, Gould Academy, Bethel ME
